Antique Japanese Cloisonne Vase Meiji Floral Enamel Brown Ground 8” Unmarked

Beautiful antique Japanese-style cloisonné enamel vase featuring intricate multicolor floral medallions, blossoms, scrolling foliage and decorative geometric borders against a rich dark brown/black ground.

The vase has an elegant elongated baluster form with contrasting turquoise, blue, pink, green, white and gold-tone enamel decoration. Brass/copper-tone metal rims at the mouth and foot display an attractive aged patina.

The workmanship and decorative style appear consistent with Japanese cloisonné from the late Meiji to early 20th-century period, although the piece is unmarked and the exact maker and date are unknown.

Condition:
Good antique/vintage condition with age-related surface wear, patina, oxidation, minor enamel pitting and small imperfections consistent with age and manufacture.
