Beautiful antique Victorian Staffordshire pottery spill vase, dating to approximately 1850–1870, featuring an unusual figural scene of a prancing zebra being pursued by a fox or wolf.
This charming 19th-century English ceramic piece features a beautifully hand-painted zebra with black stripes leaping across a rocky landscape and bridge, with a reddish-brown fox-like animal below. A hollow tree trunk with an orange-glazed interior forms the spill holder.
