Impressive large vintage Japanese porcelain vase featuring an elaborate millefleur or thousand flowers design covering nearly the entire surface.

The vase is beautifully decorated with densely arranged chrysanthemums, peonies, camellias, daisies, and other colorful blossoms in shades of red, purple, green, white, blue, orange, and pink. Fine gold detailing, gilt accents, small figural medallions, and deep red patterned borders complete the ornate design.

The vase has a classic baluster form with a broad shoulder, flared neck, shaped rim, and coordinating footed base. The underside bears a red Japanese character mark with a Shimazu-style crest, along with an older oval Japan label.
