Signed Ando Japanese Pigeon Blood Red Ginbari Cloisonne Bird Bamboo Vase 5.75”

Beautiful vintage Japanese ginbari cloisonné enamel vase signed with the impressed Ando mark on the base. This elegant baluster-form vase features a rich translucent ruby-red or pigeon-blood enamel finish over a textured metallic foil ground. A bird and bamboo design can be seen beneath the enamel, giving the vase a striking layered appearance that changes slightly as the light moves across the surface.

The vase is finished with silver-tone metal rims at the mouth and base. It is a lovely cabinet-size example that displays beautifully and would make a wonderful addition to a collection of Japanese cloisonné, Asian antiques, or decorative art.
